Burmese Days: The Soul of Yangon
Yangon is a city where time seems to fold in on itself. In this series, "Burmese Days," I explore the fading colonial architecture, the golden light of the Shwedagon Pagoda, and the rhythmic pulse of the circular railway. This is an observational journey through a city defined by its deep spiritual roots and its weathered, historic character.
My lens seeks the quiet dignity in the everyday—the morning rituals of the monks, the intense energy of the street markets, and the stillness within the crumbling heritage buildings. Drawing on two decades of global travel, these photographs document the "real life" of Yangon with a cinematic perspective, honoring the resilience and warmth of a people whose spirit remains vibrant amidst the echoes of the past.
