Shanghai: A Study in Scale
Shanghai is a city of layers—where the neoclassical architecture of The Bund stares across the river at the neon-lit future of Pudong. My lens explores this vertical metropolis through an observational lens, seeking the human rhythm within the glass and steel.
From the quiet, early morning rituals in the Old City’s longtang alleys to the overwhelming energy of the financial district, these photographs document a city in a state of permanent motion. Drawing on 20 years of global travel and a background in documentary filmmaking, I capture Shanghai not just as a skyline, but as a living, breathing organism of tradition and innovation.
