SIEM REAP AND PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA

Cambodia: Stone and Spirit

This collection documents the duality of the Khmer heartland: the ethereal, ancient silence of Siem Reap and the restless, surging energy of Phnom Penh. My lens explores the intersection of Cambodia's deep imperial past and its spirited modern identity.

In Siem Reap, I sought to capture the "quiet dignity" of the Angkorian temples—where nature and stone have spent centuries in a slow embrace. Moving into the capital of Phnom Penh, the story shifts to the "real life" of the markets, the riverfront, and the narrow alleyways. Through an observational, documentary lens, these photographs honor a culture defined by its resilience, its warmth, and its enduring connection to the sacred.
